This is the first time I'm hearing about the lose of Sharon. I was in Cosmotology with her and very close. We did not keep in touch. I am so sad to hear the news of her. She is one of the ones I was hoping to get into contact with on here. She is very missed.
I remember her coming to school everyday without makeup on and she would sit in the back of the class and put mascara on and then use a straight pin to pick at her lashes to separate them. I was so scared she was going to poke herself in the eye. She had very long beautiful lashes.
I learned about Sharon's death through Toni Hoskins Fraley. I too was in Cosmetology with Sharon and she was a sweet person. I have been looking for her on Facebook and am sad to learn about this news.
Sharon married my husband's brother, Lenny, in 1986. I remember when Lenny asked the whole family to meet at Pepitos Restaurant to meet his new girlfriend. I about had a stroke when I saw Sharon at the restaurant. We became very, very close for a very long time. She was a wonderful mother to Connie and Jack, devoted to her mother and siblings, so very generous with her in-laws and a wonderful homemaker. My girls absolutely loved their Aunt Sharon and she was always a source of encouragement and fun!!! She is still missed by the Esken family and I'm sure by the Perkins and Wilcox families as well. She still had those crazy long eye lashes after all those years and still used a needle to separate them!!! It was a joy to have her as a sister. Paula Lively Esken
